Heritage House

I did this watercolor of a historic house in Heritage Village, Largo, FL. It is surrounded by tall pines and palmettos, a common combination of vegetation found in Florida. Pines and palms -- seems like they would exist in very different ecosystems, yet here they thrive together in the tropical clime of Florida.
Heritage House, 8x10", watercolor, framed, $125. Email me at jennalovesparrots@yahoo.com.

Loggerhead Mama

This is a watercolor of a loggerhead turtle laying her eggs. It was painted at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and is currently for sale in their gift shop. (She actually wasn't a live turtle, but a lifesize replica they have there. Much easier to paint animals when they don't move -- or only move slightly like this one)
Loggerhead Mama, 9x12", matt black frame, watercolor. $150

Twisting Trees

I was struck by this path and the way the trees twisted over it, as well as the negative spaces they created. The day was warm and pleasant. The location is in Chestnut Park, Tarpon Springs, FL, abeautiful area on the East side of Lake Tarpon.
Twisting Trees, Oil, 9x12" $125
